The Inbox is where you see admin notifications about the learning journeys you follow. Older help material may call this the notification center, but in Knowly you open it from Inbox in the organisation sidebar.
Availability
Inbox notifications are available on Team, Enterprise, and Knowly plans.
Note. Inbox notifications appear inside Knowly. They are not sent as emails.
Follow a learning journey
You receive notifications for a learning journey when you follow it. To start following, open the learning journey and click Follow this learning journey in the settings.
Knowly can also start following a learning journey for you when you create it or actively set it up, for example when you create a new learning journey, duplicate one of your own learning journeys, schedule activities, or import participants. This is why you may already be following a learning journey when you open its settings.
You can unfollow at any time from the same place. When you unfollow, you stop receiving new notifications for that journey, but any existing notifications remain in your inbox.
If you unfollow a learning journey, Knowly keeps that choice until you follow the journey again.

What you get notified about
Suitable moments to send manual reminders. When an activity's deadline has passed and its final reminder has been sent, you get a notification with completion stats so you can decide whether to send a manual reminder.

New posts in threads that you follow. When someone posts in a discussion thread you follow, you see it in your inbox. You can follow or unfollow individual threads from within the discussion.
Another admin mentioning you in an internal comment. When another admin mentions you with @ in an internal comment on an activity, you get a notification with the comment thread for context.

Reading and managing notifications
Each notification in the inbox shows who triggered it, a short preview, and when it happened. Unread notifications are marked with a colored dot.
Click a notification to expand it and see the full context — the discussion thread, comment chain, or deadline details with completion stats and a link to send a reminder.
Archive. Press e or Backspace to archive a notification, or use the menu. Archived notifications move to the Archived view and can be restored at any time.
Mark as unread. Press u to mark a read notification as unread again.
Undo. After archiving, you have a few seconds to undo with Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac).
Filter. Use the filter at the top of the inbox to switch between Unread & read, Unread, and Archived notifications.

Custom notification color
By default, the unread notification dot is red. If your organization's brand color is similar to red, an admin can set a different notification color in organization settings to keep the dot easy to spot. The available colors are red, orange, yellow, purple, and pink.
