Duplicate a learning journey

Learn when to use basic or advanced duplication for a learning journey.

Duplicating a learning journey lets you reuse an existing setup instead of starting from scratch.

Availability

  • Basic duplication is available on all plans.

  • Advanced duplication (sometimes shown as Magic duplication) is available for Enterprise organizations.

  • If the option is locked with an Enterprise badge, your organization does not have access yet.

  • See If a feature is locked for what to check next.

When to use duplication

Use duplication when you want to:

  • launch a new cohort based on an existing learning journey

  • reuse activities and content in a new program run

  • create a copy before making larger changes

You can start from the learning journey list by clicking Duplicate on the learning journey you want to reuse.

Name the new copy

The first step shows the current learning journey name. Update it to something that makes the new copy easy to recognize.

Choose a duplication method

  • copies all activities

  • resets scheduling so you can set it up again later

  • does not copy discussion threads

Choose this option when you want a fast structural copy and plan to adjust the schedule manually afterward.

Advanced duplication is the guided option. In some places it may appear as Magic duplication.

  • lets you choose what should be copied

  • can generate a schedule draft for cohort learning journeys

  • can include discussion threads and reassign posters

  • lets you review sender settings and guest access before creating the copy
