Setting your own terminology in a learning journey

Adjust role words such as manager, coach, or mentor so the journey matches your organization.

Some organizations do not use the word manager. A learning journey can use another role name, such as coach, mentor, leader, buddy, or another word that fits your context.

When terminology matters

Custom terminology helps when participants would misunderstand the default word or when your organization uses a specific role name throughout the programme.

What it changes

The terminology setting changes role wording inside the journey. It helps participant and manager-facing text feel aligned with your organization.

Check both languages

If the journey is translated, check the terminology in every language version. A word that works in English may not sound natural in Swedish, and the other way around.
