Some organizations don't use the word manager. In a learning journey you can swap it for another role word — coach, mentor, leader, buddy, or whatever fits your context — so the journey sounds like your organization.
Where to set it
In the learning journey's settings, open Nomenclature. Turn on Custom version of the word "manager" and type the word you want to use. You can set its different forms (singular, plural, and so on) so the wording reads naturally everywhere it appears.
What it changes
Your custom word replaces the default "manager" wording throughout the journey — in the text participants see and in the text managers see. It's a change to the wording only; it doesn't change what the role can do.
Your custom word is shown exactly as you type it
The word you enter is used literally, for everyone, in every language. Knowly doesn't translate it. If a participant uses Knowly in another language, they still see the exact word you typed.
So pick a word that reads well for everyone in your audience. For example, if you set the word to "chef" (Swedish for manager), someone using Knowly in English sees "chef" too — which reads as the English word for a cook. If your audience spans languages, choose a word that works across all of them.
If the journey is translated
A translated learning journey is a separate copy of the journey. Your custom word is copied across as-is — it isn't translated for you. Open each version and set the word that fits those participants.
