How do I log in to Knowly?

Use a Knowly email, SMS, app.knowly.com, password, or single sign-on to log in and find your learning journey.

You can log in to Knowly from the latest Knowly email or SMS you received, or from the sign-in page at https://app.knowly.com. Use the same email address or mobile phone number that your organization registered for the learning journey, so Knowly can find your account and show the right learning journey.

Start with the latest Knowly email or SMS

If you already have a Knowly message for the learning journey, the fastest way in is usually the newest one.

  1. Open the latest Knowly email or SMS for the learning journey.

  2. Click the button or link in the message.

  3. Follow the sign-in steps if Knowly asks you to confirm who you are.

Older links may have expired, already been used, or been replaced by a newer message. If the link does not work, try the latest Knowly message first or ask the organization that invited you to send a new access link. The article on what to try when a Knowly link does not work has more troubleshooting steps.

Sign in from app.knowly.com with email or SMS

Use the regular sign-in page when you do not have a current Knowly link. Knowly usually sends you a one-time link by email or SMS, so you do not need a Knowly password for this option. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), Knowly may send you through your organization's sign-in screen instead.

  1. Choose Log in with email or Log in with mobile phone number.

  2. Enter the email address or mobile phone number connected to your Knowly account.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Open your inbox or SMS messages and click the link from Knowly.

Use the sign-in page to request a one-time login link by email or mobile phone number

Login links are valid for one hour and can only be used once. If the email or SMS does not arrive right away, wait a few minutes before requesting another link. If you request more than one link, open the newest message.

After requesting a link, open your inbox and click the latest Knowly link

Tip. Save https://app.knowly.com as a bookmark if you want an easy way back to Knowly later.

Log in manually through your organization

If your organization has given you a password, an organization identifier, or single sign-on instructions, click log in manually on the sign-in page. Manual login is also the right route when your organization asks you to use SSO.

Use manual login when your organization has given you an organization identifier, password, or single sign-on access

Enter the unique identifier for your organization. It can be different from your organization's display name. If you do not know it, click Find organization or ask the person who invited you.

After you choose the organization, Knowly shows the sign-in method your organization uses. Depending on your setup, you may sign in with:

  • your organization's sign-in page for SSO

  • your email address and password

  • a password recovery email if you click I forgot my password

If Knowly sends you to your organization's sign-in page, use the same workplace login details you normally use there. If that page does not accept your login, contact your organization's administrator or IT team.

Find your learning journey after you log in

After you log in, you should see the learning journeys connected to your account. Open the one you want to continue.

If you cannot find the learning journey, check that you signed in with the same email address or phone number that received the invitation. If it is still missing, contact the organization that invited you and ask whether you still have access.

If Knowly asks you to log in every time

Knowly may ask you to confirm who you are when you open a personal link, use a new browser, or return after some time. This is normal and helps protect your learning journey.

If you are asked to log in every time even on the same device, check that your browser is allowed to keep site data for Knowly. If you use private browsing, or if your workplace browser clears site data automatically, you may need to sign in again each time.

Lastly, use the newest Knowly email, SMS, or bookmarked sign-in page when you return. That gives you the best chance of opening the right learning journey.
