Scheduling in an individual learning journey starts with one reusable setup. Each participant then gets their own personal timeline from the anchor date you set for them.
Build the reusable schedule
Add the activities that should be part of the journey.
Schedule each one relative to the anchor date instead of a shared calendar date — you can place activities before or after the anchor, by days or weeks.
The result is one standard structure you can reuse for every new participant.

Two ways to time an activity
When you schedule an activity, you choose how its timing is measured against the anchor date:
An exact number of days or weeks before or after — good for a precise experience around the anchor, like the days just before and after a first day at work.
On a specific weekday before or after — good for building a habit on a consistent day, like a reflection every Friday. You pick which occurrence, such as the 1st Monday after the anchor date.
When you use the 1st weekday after the anchor, that day can sometimes land on the anchor date itself or right after it. The Settings for postponing let you push it to the same weekday the following week instead, so the activity doesn't arrive too close to the start.
Generate personal schedules from the anchor date
When you add a participant, you enter their anchor date.
Knowly uses it to work out when each activity is sent or becomes available for that person.
Each activity arrives at the time you set, in the participant's own time zone — so a 9:00 activity reaches everyone at 9:00 their local time. See Time zones in Knowly.
The same journey can be reused even when participants start on completely different dates.
Adding activities after people have joined
You don't have to finish everything before adding participants. When you schedule a new activity later, everyone already in the journey is included automatically, from their own anchor date. Anyone whose point is still ahead is scheduled and notified as usual; for anyone already past that point, Knowly asks whether to send it now or make it available silently. Common planning tips
Choose an anchor date every participant will have, such as a first day at work.
Keep the early part focused and practical if the first activities land close to the anchor date.
Use one-by-one adding, import, or self-registration depending on what your organization has access to.
