An anchor date is the date Knowly uses to calculate a participant's personal schedule in an individual learning journey. It is often a first day at work, start date, or another date every participant has.
How anchor dates work
You build one reusable schedule around the anchor date. When a participant is added, Knowly uses their anchor date to calculate when each activity should happen for that person.
When the anchor date is close
If the anchor date is close to the first scheduled activity, review the participant's timeline before you finish adding them. Activities scheduled before the anchor date may need extra attention if the start is already near.
Good anchor dates
Use a date that is meaningful for every participant.
Choose a date you can collect reliably.
Keep early activities practical if participants start at different times.
