An anchor date is the personal reference date Knowly counts from when it works out a participant's schedule in an individual learning journey. It's usually something every participant has their own version of — a first day at work, a start date, or a sign-up date.
How anchor dates work
You build one schedule where each activity is timed a number of days before or after the anchor date, rather than on fixed calendar dates. When a participant joins, Knowly applies their anchor date to that schedule and works out when each activity should happen for them. So the same journey fits everyone: two people who start a month apart each move through it on their own timeline. Where the anchor date comes from
Most often the participant provides their anchor date themselves when they register — Knowly asks for it as part of getting started, using the label you chose when you set the journey up. Choose one you can collect reliably, so schedules don't depend on guesswork.
